ESO Morrowind Early Access Launch for PC & Mac Begins May 22nd
The launch of The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind is coming closer. However, ZeniMax Online Studios have announced that certain PC / Mac players will get early access to ESO: Morrowind on May 22nd, two weeks early. To get early access, you must have either the Digital Upgrade version or the physical Collector’s Edition of the upcoming ESO Morrowind expansion.
The upcoming Morrowind expansion (or upgrade, if you will) for ESO is set to go live on June 6th, 2017. You’ll be able to get it on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Mac. However, a number of PC and Mac players will have the opportunity to play the game two weeks earlier than everybody else, starting May 22nd. It doesn’t matter if you’re starting fresh with a new character (like with the Warden) or heading to Vvardenfell with your already-existing character. Of course, the ESO Morrowind early access will also help developers iron out nay remaining kinks before the full game launches for everybody.
So, who are the lucky few that will get to play ESO Morrowind before everyone else? Well, to begin with, those that purchase either the Digital Upgrade or Digital Collector’s Edition Upgrade version on their PC and/or Mac. Those who buy the physical Collector’s Edition will also get early access. However, they will have to activate the ESO Morrowind Early Access by clicking on the link we’ve provided right there.
What about those new players that’ll purchase the full ESO: Morrowind game, aka those that haven’t owned Elder Scrolls Online before? Unfortunately for them, they’ll have to be patient and wait for June 6th with the rest. That’s just how the cookie crumbles. Early access to the new, expansive chapter of ESO is, it seems, only for old fans that have stuck with the game for a longer time.
