Opinions on Dead Rising 4 are pretty split, to say the least. Fans of the franchise mostly think it’s bad, while critics mostly agree that it’s okay. Pretty much everybody can agree that everything they changed from the previous installments was for the worse. Still, it’s fair to say that Dead Rising 4 is at least an entertaining, goofy game. And the DLCs look like they will add a lot more.

The new Dead Rising 4 story DLC, “Frank Rising”, is out. If you have the season pass, you’ll get it as a part of it. If not, you’ll have to pay $9.99. From here, we’ll get into Dead Rising 4 spoilers, so turn back if you don’t want the ending spoiled.

The Frank Rising DLC comes right after Frank’s final sacrifice. He rises from the dead as a zombie, but it seems that he manages to keep some of his humanity. We learn that the government is planning to wipe Willamette off the map. It seems some of the survivors have a cure, and he has to save the town before it’s destroyed (and before he completely loses his mind, presumably). Of course, it doesn’t appear like he can use weapons and tools, but he sure packs a punch. In zombie mode, he’s almost like the Hulk.

In the very end of the trailer, we get to see a snippet of the upcoming online multiplayer minigolf game that’s coming soon. You can check out the full trailer below.

Dead Rising 4 came out on Xbox One and PC via Windows Store on December 6th, 2016. Later, it made its way to Steam on March 14th, 2017.
