Destiny 2 confirmed for PC as well
After a couple billion gameplay hours it was about time to hear the news of Destiny 2. Yesterday we talked about the game being officialy confirmed, while today we know a bit more – and the big news is it is coming to PC! The new reveal trailer once again stars Nathan Fillion as Cayde-6, opposite Lance Reddick as Commander Zavala, as they rally the troops.
PC players have waited for almost 3 years to hear this and it will probably cause a mixed reaction. It will be interesting to see if and how the PC version will be different from the console one. Also, it will be quite a thing to see the masters of console FPS test themselves on PC, especially considering that they have mastered the controller. Will they be able to create the same smooth gameplay on the mouse and keyboard?
The trailer reveals what seems to have happened – the Last City was overrun by Cabal, led by Ghaul, their leader. Not much else can be gleamed for this, but rest assured that Bungie will be feeding us all info drip by drip, all the way to the release date, September 8.
They have certainly not wasted time on presenting the Editions. You have your base game edition, expansion pass, both of those together, plus the Digital Deluxe, Limited and Collector’s Edition. Bad news is that the pre-order grants you early access to Beta – bad, because it was expected for the game to have an open beta like the original did. Still, it does not mean it cannot happen, but we won’t know more until later.
It has been three months of excellent games and the new Destiny makes it a good step towards making 2017 one of the best years in the history of gaming. Tread lightly, Bungie.
