Destiny’s final event, Age of Triumph, is out soon
It has been quite a trip for Destiny. Starting out as the highly anticipated and hyped new IP from the creators of Halo, this console exclusive started out with mixed reception. Addictive and smooth gameplay had players glued to the screen, but the initial lack of a real story was a constant bone of contention for players and reviewers alike. This was later rectified with expansions, especially in The Taken King and Rise of Iron which brought the game to where many expected it to be initially.
Age of Triumph
A new destiny update is out as well, in preparation for the launch of Age of Triumph. Twitch livestream should be going up today at 6pm UK time, ushering the final live update for Destiny. Destiny continues with the sequel, planned for the fall of 2017.
Bungie also revealed some crucial update information, anticipating potential problems that players might have:
- Interrupting Downloads: Some consoles will attempt to verify all previously downloaded content before downloading a Destiny Update. If any issues are found, or the verification process is interrupted, all previous content will be deleted and downloaded once more. For more information, please see our Updating Destiny Guide.
- Destiny Companion: Sign-in functionality and Destiny Companion services on the Mobile App and Bungie.net may be restricted during maintenance windows. Additionally, the Vendor pages in the Destiny Companion on Bungie.net and the Mobile App may be temporarily unavailable on days when Destiny receives an update.
- BungieHelp Twitter: On days in which Destiny is receiving an update or undergoing Server Maintenance, players can follow @BungieHelp on Twitter to receive the latest information. Enabling notifications on Twitter will ensure that this information is delivered to your mobile device as soon as it is available.
The Age of Triumph will offer new challenges and rewards, as a way of drawing the curtain on the three years of fun and content of Destiny.
