The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild seems to have been datamined – World Map
If you haven’t heard, Zelda: Breath of the Wild has already been pirated, which is no real surprise taking into consideration Wii U’s rickety pirate problems. This was also an opportunity for datamining that was too good to pass for some people. So, like it or not, we now have the game’s map in it’s full size.
The size of the map is always relative, due to how many things are there to be done and how many of them are actually interesting. However, it is good to know that Breath of the Wild is an even greater adventure than Zelda has ever been.
It remains to be seen whether the fans will prefer the Switch version more, what with it aiming for 900p resolution in comparison to the Wii U’s 720p. Both will run at 30 fps. The other differences include some ambiental sounds rendered better on Switch, as well as a few icons that are different. Oh, and the Special edition and the Master edition are only available on Switch. Other than that they are out on the same day and promise the same amount of gameplay and fun.
The series has seen its ups and downs and this seems to be the most anticipated Zelda in a very long time. The reviews are slowly pouring in and there is a general agreement that the hype has been well deserved, which are good news for Nintendo in the wake of the new console launch.
Speaking of Switch, it may have a bit paltry launch list, but it is expecting another 64 indie games to join the lineup in 2017, along some of the more pronounced names.
Both Nintendo Switch and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be out on March 3, 2017.
