As you can see in the image above, fans of the Injustice series have a new character to look forward to. Mere days after the Black Canary gameplay trailer and the character bio update of Robin, Bane, Poison Ivy and Brainiac, NetherRealm is already teasing new content.

There are now further details about the character as of now, so it’ll be exciting to see who they choose to add to the roster. After all, the DC Universe is enormous. Creative director Ed Boon has hinted before that they want to introduce more obscure characters. Really, it’s anybody’s guess who this could be. The reveal could come in the form of a gameplay trailer or a cinematic one. We’ll find out soon enough and keep you posted.

So far, the list of playable characters for Injustice 2 is looking pretty good. On the heroes side, we have Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Blue Beetle, Supergirl, Robin (Damien Wayne) and Black Canary. The villain roster is Darkseid, Gorilla Grodd, Bane, Atrocitus, Deadshot, Poison Ivy, Brainiac and Harley Quinn. Each of these characters is a different and interesting fighter for us to master.

Ed Boon has also announced on his Twitter that they’re sending more and more closed beta invites. They’re trying to let as many willing players as possible give the game a spin. However, it’s very likely that not everyone will have the chance to get in before the game launches.

Injustice 2 is coming out May 16th in the Americas, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
