Mass Effect Andromeda 10-Hour Trial for Access Subscribers Starts on March 16th
Fans of the Mass Effect franchise are getting a special treat. A 10-hour trial of Mass Effect Andromeda will be available starting March 6th, but not for everyone. Only EA Access subscribers will have the privilege to play this hefty trial. If you buy the full game, your progress will carry over, like all Access titles.
Access ME Andromeda 10-Hour Trial
If you want to get your hands on Mass Effect: Andromeda up to a full week earlier (depending on the region), you better have an EA (or Origin) Access account. Subscribers will get to try the game out for ten hours, starting March 16th. The new installment in the beloved sci-fi franchise comes out on March 21st in North America and March 23rd in Europe, so it’s quite the head start. Any progress you make will carry over to the full game, should you choose to buy it.
EA Access, or Origin Access, is available only to Xbox and PC players, respectively. It seems that PlayStation users are out of luck this time. They’ll have to wait for the Mass Effect Andromeda multiplayer beta to get in on the action.
EA Access is a subscription service that gives users plenty of similar trial deals. It also brings discounts for EA titles, as well as periodical free games form the publisher. Recent additions include Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3. Other games on the service are Star Wars Battlefront, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, Dragon Age Inquisition, Titanfall, Battlefield 4, as well as truckloads of Madden, FIFA and other sports titles.
Fortunately, Mass Effect developers BioWare have announced that Andromeda won’t require season passes. Also, the multiplayer won’t be necessary to complete the game, although multiplayer awards will carry over to the single-player.
Those who don’t have a subscription and PS 4 players will have to wait for March 21st or March 23rd to get their hands on the game.
