If you’re looking to play Mass Effect: Andromeda a little early, you’re in luck. Players who subscribe to EA Access or Origin Access will get the chance to play part of the game before release. Play Mass Effect Andromeda early through Origin Access

The news came via Twitter, as pretty much all info about the game did. The official ME Twitter account confirmed that EA Access users on Xbox One will be getting the game early. This led to a flurry of question from eager fans. Producer Michael Gamble joined the conversation soon. Gamble confirmed that PC players with an Origin Access subscription will be getting in early as well. When asked about the form the early access will take, he pointed out it will be available for a few days, and will only contain a portion of the game.

Both services cost $5 per month. Games that were previously offered early to subscribers (including Battlefield 1, FIFA 17 and Mirror’s Edge Catalyst) offered 10 hours of restricted play time. Limitations were put on the amount of game you could access. In Battlefield, you could only play on certain maps, in certain game modes. The full game was released to subscribers several days before the street date, but that’s probably not going to happen with Mass Effect. If it were in the cards, EA would probably shout it it out from a hilltop.

Mass Effect Andromeda is going to be released on March 21st, on Playstation 4, PC and Xbox One. If you’re sure you want it, you can preorder it already – there are three different editions on sale. We’ll post more about the early access deals when the full details are revealed.
