Mass Effect Andromeda Won't Have A Season Pass
There will be no season pass for Mass Effect Andromeda, according to a tweet from one of the developers at Bioware. They’re still not ready to talk about DLC at this point, but a season pass is not on the table. Read on for some speculation on how this might turn out. In short – we’re hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.
The news comes by way of Aaryn Flynn, Bioware GM. When asked by a fan if the game will have a season pass, he declined. When further pressed about DLC, Flynn stated they’ll talk about it at a later date.
Nope

So what could this actually mean? Well, if you’re optimistic, you might think the game is going to have some story related DLC that’s going to be paid for, along with small stuff that’s going to be free – cosmetics and such. Kind of like what The Witcher 3 had. It could also mean that there won’t be any DLC at all, but that’s not a thing that could happen in 2017.
On the other hand, if you’re pessimistic, there’s a whole different angle. This announcement might mean that you’ll have to buy each DLC separately, with no way to save for buying them all in bulk. It could also mean that cosmetic items will be sold via microtransactions, piece by piece.
If Bioware’s history is anything to go by, the game will have at least one chunky piece of story DLC, with new missions, characters and maybe even areas. Their previous games also had smaller add-ons that didn’t have anything to do with the story – things like new weapons, items, outifts and multiplayer stuff..
Mass Effect Andromeda is going to be released on March 21st, on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
