Final Fantasy XV Free Updates

Final Fantasy 15 director, Hajime Tabata announced free updates for FFXV on the Square Enix blog page. He said that their early plans are to enrich certain aspects of the game, such as adding gameplay enhancements for Chapter 13 and buffing ring magic. They will have more detailed information at some later time.

Tabata also added that they are hoping to delve deeper into the story, adding scenes that will give you new insight into character motivations. Also they are looking at making certain key characters playable, and even considering the possibility of customizable avatars in addition to other features over time. Of course, they’ll need to be localized and voiced in other languages, so it will take some time for the additions to arrive in to Final Fantasy XV.

Other features include letting you carry over stats from a previous playthrough, and adding items that introduce new playstyles, such as low-level runs and god mode. Square Enix is also fixing some small problems like increasing the font size. Also, they are looking at the content you can enjoy in real time, including new bosses with exclusive rewards and achievements, and limited time hunts.

In addition to these free updates, SE is also working on the previously announced downloadable content. The content will include episodes about three Noctis’s friends, Ignis, Prompto and Gladiolus and will feature them as playable characters in their own adventures. There are also 3 additional packs, but so far, no more information has been shared. Here is the full DLC list:
