FFXV Judgment Disc Demo Patch

Final Fantasy XV Judgment Disc demo has launched several days ago. It’s a demo for FFXV, available on the Japanese PSN and Xbox stores. It allows players to try out part of the first chapter of the game. However, many users are complaining about bugs. Square Enix have taken note, and decide to speak up about the issue on Twitter.


The official Final Fantasy XV twitter account posted an announcement regarding the demo problems and their plans for fixing them. Props to Gematsu for the translation.

Thank you for playing the demo. On the subject of bugs, we are already fixing them and plan to offer an update to users able to apply patches. Please rest assured that we will identify the frequency of the bugs and make fixes as needed.

While it is difficult to fix everything down to the smallest bugs, we will deal with it via an amendment patch. Since it is impossible to get rid of the bugs in an open-world game in short time with our current technology, please understand that we will fix them at a steady pace.

They’ve also announced that the Platinum demo will be available until the end of the year. Their original plan was to pull it from the stores as soon as the full game launches. After the fans pleaded for the demo to stay, a decision was made. You’ll have access to it until 2017, at least.

They concluded the message by admitting that making things work the way they should in such a large world can be overwhelming. They’re learning every day, though, and humbly ask for your continued support.

Final Fantasy XV is going to be released on November 29th, on Xbox One and Playstation 4. Nobody is mentioning the PC version for now, but we can always dream.
