Gwent Closed Beta Download - How to do it

Gwent is a card game set in the Witcher universe. It’s currently in closed beta, so only certain people were fortunate enough to be invited. If you’re one of them, you’ve received a Gwent closed beta code in your inbox. If so, you might be wondering what you should do next, where to redeem the code and how to download the game. In this guide, we’re going to show you how to download Gwent and start playing.

Where to download Gwent

After Lady Luck has smiled at you and granted you a closed beta access code, here’s what you should do:

• Click the link you’ve received in your inbox. Alternatively, you could go to the Redeem page and enter your code there.
• The part of the URL after /redeem/ is your code, in case you have to manually enter it.
• Select your platform (Xbox One or PC)
• Click the check box next to the words “I’m not a robot” (you might have to prove this by doing a simple task, like selecting all the pictures with trees on them from a gallery).
• Select Redeem on GOG.com
• Log into your GOG.com account. If you haven’t got one, you’ll be able to create it at that point.
• Download the Galaxy client from GOG.com (click the download button on the left of the purple bar under the header).
• Open the GOG Galaxy client and log in.

Once you’ve redeemed the code, the game will be tied to your account. Now all you need to do is select the game in your library, and click Install. Make sure it’s not the Kill the Servers version (if you’ve participated in that). After the game has been downloaded, you’ll be able to fire it up and play to your heart’s content.

If you’re on Xbox One, you just need to head to the Xbox Store and redeem the code the usual way (Store -> Use a code). Keep in mind that you’ll need an active Xbox Live Gold subscription for this. The beta is focused on multiplayer content, so you’ll need the Live membership in order to face others in battle.
