Players will also be introduced to new cards and new strategies, as well as given extra information about the closed Beta.

Details about the Live Stream

The Gwent live stream starts at 7 pm CEST on October 24th . It’ll showcase new gameplay footage, presumably including any changes to cards and mechanics made after KTS. The developers will have some Q&A with the fans, either over Twitter or the Twitch chat. They’ll also play a few rounds of the game, perhaps throwing us some tips and hints along the way.

The team will also discuss deckbuilding and opening card packs (known as card kegs). This part should be particularly interesting, because we’ll be able to see cards that won’t necessarily make it to the closed Beta. The developers have confirmed that only starter card sets for factions will be available at the start. Watching the stream will therefore give players a chance to find out which cards they’ll get and then build their decks accordingly.

Playing Gwent earns players in-game currency, which they can spend in the shop. This feature was absent until now, but it might be included in the Beta. Players might even be able to make in-game purchases with real money. After the Beta testing is over, they’ll probably be reimbursed in some way. Whether it will be via refunds or in-game rewards, we don’t know yet.

So, remember to tune in to the Gwent Live Stream, it promises to be a fun and important event. Meanwhile, you can check out our Gwent Cards Database to find out what we know about the cards so far.
