How to play NBA 2K17 with friends online

If you want to play MyPark with friends, you’ll need to form a squad. In order to do this, you’ll have to all be in the same park. You get to travel between parks after you’ve progressed a bit, but in the beginning, you’ll have to use the same one.

Once you’re in the park, it’s pretty straightforward:

1. Press the touchpad (back button on Xbox) to bring up a list of online players.
2. Press L2/R2 (LT/RT) to cycle through different lists.
3. One of them will be your friends list.
4. Select the friend you want to play with.
5. Press X (A) to open up their menu.
6. Choose Invite to squad and wait for them to accept.

If you’re playing in the same park, you can simply choose the list of people currently in that park, then select your friend’s name from it. However, once you advance enough to get to play in rival parks, the friends list option will be quite useful – you won’t have to remember which park your friends are in, or sift through a long list of players to get to them.
