If you’ve preordered Battleborn, you’re entitled to some free character skins as a pre-purchase bonus. You won’t be able to use them right away, though.

The standard edition buyers receive the Golden Skins from the Founder Pack. The Digital Deluxe edition owners will get these, as well as the Cyber skin pack. This guide will show you how to unlock Battleborn preorder skin bonuses.
How to Get Battleborn Preorder Skins
The skins are easy to get, but they won’t be available as soon as you start the game. You’ll have to:
Complete the prologue mission
Open Command
Choose a character
Use R2/RT to get to the Appearance tab
Select a skin and equip it
Go to Command
Select a character
Go to the Appearance tab
Battleborn Golden Skins
Golden skins are available to those who’ve preordered the standard edition of the game. There’s five of them, for Thorn, Reyna, Montana, Marquis and Rath.
