Spider Shield is yet an another unique looking item in Dark Souls 3. Beside its unique look, it useful because it provides high resistance to poison.
The Closest Bonfire: Cathedral of the Deep or/and Cleansing Chapel

Shields of this style are commonly used by savage mountain bandits, and offer high resistance to poison.
Skill: Weapon Skill.
It’s important to keep in mind that it won’t protect you from toxic water and such – only from attacks you can block. It will soak up almost all poison build-up from a blocked attack, making it easier to get through areas with poison enemies without eating a tonne of Purple Moss.
You can get it in Cathedral of The Deep, realtively near the beginning of the area. This guide will show you where to find Spider Shield in Dark Souls 3, what it looks like and its stats.
Where to find Spider Shield
Area: Cathedral of the DeepThe Closest Bonfire: Cathedral of the Deep or/and Cleansing Chapel
- To gain access to the Cathedral of the Deep, you have to kill the Crystal Sage boss.
- Once the boss is dead, you can move on to this new area. The first bonfire you’ll come to is Cathedral of the Deep.
- On your way to the second bonfire, you’ climb a long set of stone stairs. At the top of these stairs there should be an NPC carrying the Spider Shield. Once he is dead you can grab the shield off of his corpse.
