Area: Cathedral of the Deep The Closest Bonfire: Cleansing Chapel
Once you’ve defeated the Crystal Sage boss, a new path will open up. It will take you to the Cathedral of the Deep and eventually to the Cleansing Chapel.
Use the long stone stair path to enter the graveyard from the Cleansing Chapel. As soon as you go through the metal gate where the Graveyard starts, turn left and keep going that way.
You’ll find a dead body with an item several steps away. This item is the Astora Greatsword.
Use the stone stair path to enter the graveyard.
Once you go through the metal gate turn and keep going left.

Astora Greatsword Description & Stats
Description: This greatsword, bestowed only upon elite knights, is a relic of the ruined land of Astora. Designed for a focus on thrust attacks, this sword is hard and sharp, but not unusually heavy. Skill: Charge.
Astora Greatsword scales well with Dexterity (C) and Strength (D). It also requires a minimum of 16 Strength and 18 Dexterity. It has a swiping light attack and a thrusting heavy, which makes it great for both dealing with groups and keeping stronger enemies at a distance.
