Far Cry: Primal Language Invention Trailer Released
Ubisoft released a new trailer for their upcoming game Far Cry: Primal. In the trailer, the developers discuss the process of developing the game, which required heavy research and expert consultations.
The latest game is set in 10,000 BC and focuses on the stone age.
With the help of linguists, the developers even created a new proto-European language for the game. All tribes use variations of it, according to how advanced they are. As always, the acting is an important part of Far Cry. For that reason, it was necessary for the language to be easy to use. The actors had to learn all aspects of it, including mannerisms and intonation, in order to play the part perfectly.
Like with all other Far Cry games, this one also includes exotic locations. It is set in Eastern Europe and will feature mountainous terrain and extinct animals. The developers themselves claim that this is not only a matter of going back in time, but also back to the basics of all that is Far Cry.
Far Cry Primal is going to launch on February 23rd, on Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version is coming out a week later, on March 1st.

The player is a member of a tribe and, as always, struggles to survive. This is a relatively new concept in the franchise as all other games were set in modern times. The main tribes in the game are the technologically advanced Izila and the tribes they enslaved – Wenja and Udam. While the Wenja are a peaceful tribe, the Udam tribe’s main characteristics are inbreeding and cannibalism.
