New Blueprints in Dying Light: The Following

Blueprints are crafting schematics in Dying Light: The Following. Together with various materials, they are used to craft unique weapons, upgrades and items.

They are mostly well hidden across the map, in hard to reach places. This guide will shows you all blueprint locations in Dying Light: The Following.


Note: This guide is a work in progress. We’ll update it with new blueprints as we progress through the game.

Iceberg

This upgrade adds a freezing effect to axes. You can get the diagram for it during the Going Postal mission. It’s in one of the houses in the city on the coast. You’ll have to go in through the roof. When you’re in, look for a white file cabinet. The blueprint will be inside.

Heavy Venom

Heavy Venom is a mod for heavy weapons that applies a toxic effect, which poisons enemies and makes them take damage over time. You can get it by killing the Holler freak enemy. He can be found in a yard east of the big lake. Your best bet is to climb the terrace, shoot a bit, then run to cover when he tries to hit you with a boulder. Rinse and repeat.

Supernova

Supernova is an upgrade that works with several kinds of swords, adding electric and impact damage to them. Its blueprint can be found north of the big lake, in the north-western part of the Countryside. It is in the train tunnel, inside one of the green train wagons. This place is a Dark Zone, so you’ll have to deal with quite a few Volatiles.

Helluva Homerun

This weapon mod can be used only on baseball bats, and it adds a fire effect to them. This causes the targets to catch on fire, which does damage over time. To craft it, you’ll need to get the diagram from the dam in the south-west of the map. Use the drain pipes to get in, then go left until you enter the large room. Jump into the water through the grate, and swim into the next room. Grapple onto the catwalk, and look for a door. Once you’re in the computer room, grapple to the broken walkway and go into the small room. The blueprint is in the chest.

Haemorrhage

Haemorrhage is an upgrade that makes axes and picks cause severe bleeding, doing damage over time. The blueprint you need is at the Harran camping site, in the north-eastern part of the map. If you follow the road, you’ll get to the entrance with a large board. The blueprint is on the wooden table behind the sign.

Electro Tool

This upgrade can be applied to bladed tools, and it adds impact and electric damage. The blueprint for it is at the power plant in the south-western part of the map. Look for a red metallic container in the yard. Once you enter it, turn around and you’ll see a dart board hanging on the wall. The schematic is pinned to it.

Discharger

Discharger is a weapon upgrade that adds electric and impact damage to your blade. You can find the schematic you need for it in the gas station safe zone to the east. It’s in the kitchen, in the front part of the station. Enter through the back door, go to the counter and look inside the drawers.

Chill Kill

Chill Kill is a mod that enhances your weapons with a freezing effect. It can only be combined with tools, though. The blueprint for it can be found on a tower near the highway south-east of Jasir’s Farm. It’s in a wooden chest on the top, and you’ll have to parkour your way up.

Phlebotomizer

This mod adds a bleeding effect to a bunch of bladed weapons, which causes damage to enemies even when you’re not hitting them. The blueprint for the Phlebotomizer is located at Jasir’s Farm. Go to the building where he is, then look behind his desk. You’ll see a bunch of crates, and one of them is where the diagram is.

Flame Stabber

Flame Stabber is a mod for knives and daggers. It adds a lot of fire damage to them, when applied. You’ll find it near the beginning of the DLC campaign, east of the lake. It’s in a wooden watchtower, inside a locked chest.

Roast Blast

This weapon mod can make heavy weapons like hammers and axes do large amounts of fire damage. You’ll find it in the safe area north of Jasir’s Farm, where you get the buggy. It’s in a large barn, with a bunch of orange crates in one of the corners. The diagram is in an envelope placed on one of them.

Super Molotov

This thrown weapon acts exactly the same way as the regular molotov, but it’s stronger and has a better radius. You’ll find the blueprint for crafting on the east side of the big lake, in a water processing facility. It’s inside a chest in the largest water tank. You’ll have to dive in from the walkway to get it.

Ice Cream

Ice Cream is a weapon upgrade that adds a freezing effect. Hitting enemies with a weapon equipped with this mod will stun them for a few seconds. It can be found in the coastal town south of Bilal’s workshop. On the northern edge of the city, there’s a shop next to a Chinese restaurant. There’s also a bus outside, in the parking lot. When you go in, you’ll see a news stand in the far corner of the room. The blueprint is on it.

Bad Plug

Bad Plug is an upgrade that adds a medium electrical discharge and a minor impact boost to your bladed weapon. It can be found in a concrete building by the road, north of Jasir’s Farm. It’s near the northern edge of the map. Look for the blueprint on the shelves inside.

Stiff Stick

Stiff Stick is a weapon mod that adds a freezing effect to blunt weapons. You’ll find the schematic for it in a barn on the north side of the lake, north-west of Jasir’s Farm. It’s on a desk in the middle of the building.

Nailer

Nailer is a baseball bat upgrade that has a chance to cause bleeding with each hit. The blueprint for it is hidden in a barn on the east side of the big lake in the north-western part of the map. You’ll have to enter through a second-story window. The schematic is in a drawer, in the desk behind the doll.

    also, after doing tolga and fatins final mission, if you pick up all the things they left for you and go out to the graveyard. go all the way to the ocean and there shuold be a rock with a box on top, get over to it and open it. inside you’ll find a blueprint called tolga’s folly, make it, it makes something called The Button. The Button lets you warp all over the map to places that usually have something of interest, like a paint job or a flag or a unique weapon or upgrade. makes finding cool things much easier

    What about the Twilight Phantom blueprint, the Origami 101 blueprint, nuclear codes, and Czesiu’s Super Zombie Grenade blueprint?

    Also the nuclear codes blueprint is in the water by the engine level 5 blueprint

      Those arent blueprints they are for the nuclear detenation easter egg where you blow up harran.

    You can get a few more blueprints from killing bosses (with health bar), but I don’t suggest you to challenge them before you have a high damage weapon with Stasis Field Projector and Cloak Potion.

      There are 4 known Freaks (Freak is the real name of those bosses I talked about), and each of them give you a blueprint.
