The Witness Release Date Confirmed
Jonathan Blow has published a new blog post on the official Playstation blog. It breaks down the progress made on his new game, The Witness, since May.
The game is going to be released on Playstation 4 on January 26th. It’s still unclear whether the PC version will go live at the same time as the PS4 one. Blow goes on to talk about the number of assets added to the game since the last update on the blog – meshes, animations, sounds, textures. He also claims completionists will have to invest between 80 and 100 hours into The Witness if they want to everything there is.
There’s no word on a retail release. For now, assume that the game will be available as a digital download only.
There’s also a new trailer to gawk at, and a precise launch date.
