Battleborn Release Date Announced
During their Gamescom 2015 presentation, Gearbox have announced the release date for their upcoming team-based shooter, Battleborn. They’ve also released a trailer, showing off several new characters.
If all goes well, it will launch on February 9th, 2016, on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
As for playing the game, we’ll have a single player campaign, a coop mode that supports up to five players (locally or online) and three 5vs5 competitive modes. With Blizzard’s Overwatch seemingly aiming for a similar space, it will be interesting to see how well Battleborn performs.

There will be an open beta, but we still don’t know when. They’ve revealed four of the 25 characters during the presentation. You can see them in action in the trailer, along with many others.
