Dark Souls 3 Gamescom Trailer Released
From Software and Bandai Namco have shown a new trailer for Dark Souls 3 to mark the beginning of Gamescom. It contains the first glimpse of actual gameplay footage, and lots of pretty stuff beside.
It opens up with an image of the Darksign, a lady narrating ominously and a view of a city whose architecture is reminiscent of Anor Londo.
It ends with a card saying “coming 2016”. The previous trailer boasted an “early 2016” release, but we won’t read too much into it.

Several slowly panning shots show new enemies and intriguing locations, before it finally switches onto the action. Strange beasties! Giant floating skull! Jumping skellingtons! Roll, roll, backstab! Scenes so familiar, yet somehow still new and exciting.
