Assassin's Creed Syndicate Revealed
During last night’s livestream event, Ubisoft have unveiled the next game in everyone’s favorite series. Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate will be set in Victorian London – the year 1868, to be more precise.
The industrial revolution has left England in turmoil. The poor are being exploited more and more each day, working their fingers to the bone, making money for the filthy rich. Those who have strength to rebel organize themselves into gangs, and start fighting back. That’s where you come in – you’ll be playing as Jacob and Evie Frye, twin siblings who were raised according to the Creed.
Jacob is being described as rash, rebellious and quick to react, while Evie is the more level headed of the two – stealth and cunning are her main weapons. We can expect a plethora of activities to partake in, like overtaking rival gangs’ strongholds, robbing money trains and rescuing child laborers.
Naturally, there will be new weapons to rely on – a kukri knife, brass knuckles and a cane-sword in the melee department, and a revolver for ranged combat. Ubisoft announced new utilities as well, with the grappling hook taking center place – you’ll be able to scale building more effortlessly than ever.
Another activity to indulge in will be grand theft carriage – you’ll be able to jack carriages and drive them across town, even participating in honest-to-god street races. Authentic London locations are a given by now, with Whitechapel, Big Ben and The Buckingham Palace being confirmed.
There’s bound to be more info in the next few days, so stay tuned.
It will have the players helping the working class rise up against the affluent, playing the role of two different characters.
