Marko: Beyond Brave, Mustache-Twirling Metroidvania Adventure Out Today
It’s time to don your hero’s mustache and grab your oversized greatsword because the mystical world of Zagora awaits. Studio Mechka, the indie wizards from Bulgaria, have conjured up something magical: Marko: Beyond Brave. This hand-drawn Metroidvania adventure combines ’90s Disney graphics style with Slavic folklore, and it’s out now on PC via Steam!
Slavic Legends Come Alive
In Marko: Beyond Brave, entropy has busted out of its cage, threatening to turn Zagora into a chaotic kaleidoscope. But fear not! Our protagonist, Marko, is no ordinary man. Wielding a secret power, large greatsword and an even bigger mustache he faces ancient evils head on. You’ll jump, slash and shoot your way through a menagerie of Slavic inspired legendary creatures, including a Kikimora you might be familiar with from the Witcher series.
Zagora is brought to life in traditional frame-by-frame 2D hand-drawn style. Exploring castles and lush forests set in a non-linear map will have you facing corrupted creatures, finding treasures and collecting legendary artifacts. You just might find some allies along the way as well, to make your adventure a bit easier. Marko: Beyond Brave also contains crafting and upgrades of your weapons and tools to help Marko fulfill his destiny.
Get Your Brave On
Armed with a sword that’s bigger than common sense, Marko dives headfirst into a world teeming with ancient evils, mythical creatures, and more twists than a pretzel factory. With a vast land full of puzzles to solve and explore to traditional 2D art and legendary monsters Metroidvania fans should have plenty to do in Marko: Beyond Brave.
Marko: Beyond Brave is out now on Steam, and it won’t break the bank. For just $19.50 (or the equivalent in euros or pounds), you can embark on a mustache-twirling, monster-slaying escapade. Plus, during launch week, snag it at a 15% discount. That’s less than the price of a fancy coffee, and this adventure won’t stain your shirt.
