Lethal Company Version 50, The Hopping Update, Out Now
The new update for Lethal Company, which the devs call both Version 50 and The Hopping update, is now out for everybody to enjoy. There’s new monsters, new locales, cosmetics, and more. And there’s also both minor tweaks and major changes to how the game works, all of which you should be aware of. So, let’s get right into it, shall we?
Lethal Company Version 50 Hopping Update Contents
The announcement post that details the contents of Lethal Company Version 50, also known as The Hopping Update, opens with a list of new additions. These include a whole new forest moon to explore, new entities, and more. Here’s the full list.
- A new forest moon, Adamance
- Reworked Dine’s exterior
- Two new entities outdoors, one new entity indoors
- Added Easter eggs which can be thrown
- Two new suits in the rotating shop + a disco ball
- You can now run down slopes faster
- A new hazard/trap indoors
Then we get to the changes. These vary from relatively low-key to pretty significant. For one, the Bell will now chime when you set it down, which will then attract enemies. Which, you know, can be used to your advantage. Baboon Hawks will have 4 instead of 6 HP, do less damage, and appear in groups of two. Also mentioned are “small changes to the scrap output and spawn rates in moons>.” Another alteration in the Version 50 Lethal Company update. And for extra shenanigans, you’ll be able to “bounce off walls when hitting them at a steep angle.”
Good news for all of you that like to charge into combat: the weight of shovels will be slightly increased, “to make each player less of a self-sufficient killing machine.” And the last thing we’ll mention is that they fixed crouch-sprinting. As in, you’ll no longer be able to spam Crouch while sprinting to run silently. Shame, crying shame. There are a few more points that we won’t cover for spoiler reasons, so click the link up top if you want to read the whole thing.
