Serum Developers Announce Playtest for April 24th

Do you think you have what it takes to survive the mutated horrors and hostile environments of Serum? Would you like to experience what the game has to offer well ahead of everyone else, even before it hits Early Access? Then you’re just what the developers are looking for. They want to let in a select group of players to play test Serum and provide their feedback. Of course, you have to apply, but that’s easy enough to do.

Serum Developers Announce Playtest for April 24th

All you need to do is go to the Serum Steam page and scroll just below the wishlist button. That’s where you’ll find the little “Join the Serum Playtest” section. All you have to do is hit the “Request Access” button and follow the instructions from there. Easy-peasy. Now, there’s no guarantee that you’ll get an invitation, or when that will happen. Usually these things happen in waves, so keep checking your email (don’t forget the spam folder).

Before you do any of that, though, consider this: a playtest is not just a chance to play a game you’re looking forward to super-early. It is an obligation. You take on a duty to the developers if they let you in. They will most likely forbid you from revealing too much about what you saw and will expect you to provide good feedback. Take this seriously for the sake of everybody else that wants Serum to be the best game it can be.

The Serum playtest is slated to begin on April 24th at 1 PM CEST, and it will last for seven days (aka until May 1st). As for when the game will hit Early Access, it’ll be at some point in Q2 2024. So, either May or June. Personally, my money is on mid-May, but we’ll have to wait and see.
