How to Play Dragon's Dogma 2 Early
Want to know how to play Dragon’s Dogma 2 early? Don’t worry, we have you covered. At least, if you’re playing on Xbox. In this guide, we are going to discuss whether Dragon’s Dogma 2 has early access and what the limitations of it are. And after that, we’ll show you a workaround you can use to get your hands on the game ahead of time. Let’s get into it.
Does Dragon’s Dogma 2 Have Early Access?
No, you can’t play Dragon’s Dogma 2 early using the regular early access system. Not really. The best option you have (officially, at least) is the character creation demo, which is currently available on all three platforms. You get to build both your Arisen and your primary Pawn and save them. Once the game launches fully, you’ll have the option to import what you made. But that’s all you get. The demo doesn’t let you take the character you built for a spin, not even a little bit. It’s a bummer, but at least you won’t have to spend another ten hours on recreating the same two people. Now, all of that said, there is a workaround you can employ, so let’s talk about that.
How to Play Dragon’s Dogma 2 Early
The only real way to play Dragon’s Dogma 2 early is on Xbox. What you have to do is purchase and pre-load the game first. Then, open the Settings, select System, and go into Language and Location. Change the Location option to New Zealand. You’ll be prompted to restart the console, so do just that. Now, because the game comes out at midnight in the time zone your console is set to, you’ll be able to play the game hours and hours ahead of schedule. You can do the same thing on PlayStation, but it’s too much of a hassle, because you have to create a whole new New Zealand account, buy gift cards, etc. And on PC, it’s pretty much pointless, because Dragon’s Dogma 2 comes out at the same time everywhere.
