What Does Moniker Mean in Dragon's Dogma 2?
During character creation in Dragon’s Dogma 2, one of the things that you are going to need to set for your character is their Moniker. But what does Moniker mean in Dragon’s Dogma 2? Is this option an important choice that is going to matter a lot in the game, or is it something that you don’t need to think about too much? Don’t worry, the way that it works in the game is actually quite simple, and we’re going to explain what this does right here.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Moniker Meaning Explained
Moniker is another term for – a name. For example, Shawn Corey Carter is much better known for his stage name moniker Jay-Z. The way that this works in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a form of filtering out names that the game deems offensive. So while you can name your Arisen and main Pawn whatever you want to, if the game flags those names as indecent, it will instead use your Moniker while you play with other players. Basically, it’s the best of both worlds. Dragon’s Dogma 2 won’t censor or ban you for your name selection, but it will also protect other players from seeing anything unwanted or potentially objectionable.
It’s important to note here that, because of the way this works, you won’t be able to manually input your Moniker yourselves. Rather, you will get a list of Moniker names to choose from. The list is very large, so you will definitely find something that suits you. So as you can see, this is nothing too important, so simply select any Moniker that you like and don’t worry about it. After all, if your character name isn’t something that you can’t say in polite society, then your Moniker won’t even be visible to other players and they’ll see your Arisen’s name instead.
