When is Pokemon TCG Pocket Release Date?

What is Pokemon TCG Pocket?

Before we get to the release date, what is Pokemon TCG Pocket actually? Well, let’s take a look at the announcement trailer. As you can see, it’s basically the Pokemon card game, but on your phone. Except the focus is more on collecting cards and opening packs rather then dueling other players. Which you can still do, except it seems the rules are far simpler. And thank goodness for that, because I get frustrated easily. Back on topic, the video does a pretty good job of getting the point of the game across: opening packs and trading. It seems like you’ll get a few of them a day for free, and there’s even special versions with holo foil. All the fun of collecting cards without having to have boxes upon boxes in your spare room.

When is Pokemon TCG Pocket Coming Out?

We don’t know exactly when Pokemon TCG Pocket is going to release. The trailer only mentions that it’s at some point in 2024. They don’t even give us a launch month. So, it’s anybody’s guess. I’d wager it’ll be in late 2024, probably in late autumn. We’ll have to wait and see. One thing I do know for certain is that I’ll try and stay as far away from this game as possible. I can see all the ways it’s going to be a money sink, I know I’ll get hooked on what are basically loot boxes in a game that doesn’t even have that much game to begin with.

Pokemon TCG is just one of the things announced in the last Pokemon Presents event. The biggest reveal was Pokemon Legends Z-A. IF you want to read more about that, check out this and this article.
