When Does Stardew Valley Update 1.6 Come Out

Stardew Valley update 1.6 comes out on March 19th, 2024, and the release date has been revealed on ConcernedApe’s Twitter. That’s on PC. Players on Switch and mobile are going to have to wait longer than that, we don’t know exactly how long. The developer has said they will “follow as soon as possible.” And in a post on Steam, Eric Barone also shared what we can expect from the update content-wise. Here’s the list:

  • A new major festival
  • Two new mini festivals
  • New late-game content, which expands on each of the skill areas
  • New items and crafting recipes
  • Joja alternatives to some of the end-game quests
  • 100+ new lines of dialogue
  • Winter outfits for the villagers
  • New type of reward for completing billboard quests
  • (PC) support for 8 player multiplayer
  • Many small additions and adjustments
  • New farm type
  • New secrets and more

So, yeah, that’s the release date of Stardew Valley update 1.6 and what we are going to experience in it. Barone has promised more detailed patch notes on launch date, so I assume we’ll know even more then. But, of course, nothing is going to compare to experiencing it all in-game. Personally, I can’t wait. I’ve been meaning to jump back in, but I’m pretty much over and done with as far as my current save goes. A new huge update is all the excuse I need to start the whole thing over and expel Joja Mart yet again. That fantasy fulfillment never gets old.
