When does Ranked come out for MW3? The first season of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is well underway, and that means only one thing: It’s time for the mid-season update! Among many other additions, what competitive players are excited about the most is the return of Ranked Play. Read on as we provide the exact MW3 Ranked Play release date and time.
January 17th Update: The developers have officially announced that MW3 Ranked Play has been delayed. In the short announcement, they didn’t specify when we can expect Ranked Play to launch. However, they confirmed that Ranked Play is delayed while they “investigate a recently discovered critical issue”. We will follow the situation closely and update our article as soon as there is new info.

When Does Ranked Come Out for MW3?
So, when is Ranked Play coming to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3? Let’s not beat around the bush and cut straight to the chase. MW3 Ranked Play is coming alongside the Season 1 Reloaded update. Ranked will become available immediately after you update the game. When it comes to the exact date, Ranked Play is coming on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024. Depending on your region, here’s at what time will become available:
- 6 pm CET in Europe
- 5 pm GMT in UK
- 12 pm ET for US East Coast
- 9 am PT for US West Coast
“Ranked Play becomes available after players reach at least Level 55,” says the official blog post. “All unrestricted gameplay items are unlocked for use in Ranked Play, regardless of how much you’ve previously unlocked. Some weapons, Killstreaks, Equipment, and gameplay content are restricted in Ranked Play to match CDL competitive rules. And watch your aim! Friendly Fire is enabled in all Ranked Play matches.” In Season 1, the following mods will be playable in Ranked: CDL Search & Destroy, CDL Hardpoint, and CDL Control.
