How to Build Balloons in Lego Fortnite

Unfortunately, Lego Fortnite doesn’t have any fast travel mechanics. Well, that’s not really unfortunate because it’s by design. Epic Games wants you to really feel the size of the map and to understand the importance of travelling in this game mode. However, while there’s no fast travel, that doesn’t mean you only need to walk around on foot. Namely, the game has thrusters, wheels and balloons, which you can use to travel across land and air. Here’s how to get a balloon in Lego Fortnite. In order to craft a Balloon, you will need the following ingredients:

  • Silk Fabric x2
  • Torch x1
  • Cord x1

In order to get Silk Fabric, you will first need to find and beat some spiders in your world. They will drop raw silk upon elimination. Next, you will need to bring that raw Silk to your Spinning Wheel, where you will create a Silk Thread out of it. Finally, bring that Silk Thread to your Loom, where you can create a single Silk Fabric with 5 Silk Threads. For Cord, you can check out our separate guide. Finally, in order to craft a Torch, you will need to gather three Wood and five Vines and then use your Crafting Bench to make a torch. With all the materials ready, open up your Build menu, find the Balloon, and create one.
