Lies of P Can’t Level Up After Boss, Leveling Option Gone Explained

If you find that you are unable to level up after a boss in Lies of P, and the leveling option has gone missing, don’t worry, your game is not experiencing some terrible bug. Rather, for reasons that I do not understand, the developers decided to remove the handy option to level up at Stargazers. Instead, from the point after you enter Hotel Krat and talk to Sofia for the first time, you can only increase your abilities by speaking with her. So, while you can’t power up at Stargazers, you can use them to travel to the checkpoint in Hotel Krat, which becomes your base of operations. Talk to Sofia, then teleport back to the Stargazer you were just at.

And there you go, that’s why you’re unable to level up after a boss in Lies of P and why the level up is gone from regular Stargazers. I don’t know why you can’t level up in Life of P the same way all the time. It’s convenient and cuts down on play time. I mean, sure, that’s how Bloodborne worked, but it’s also one of the most criticized aspects of the game. On top of that, the game doesn’t tell you that Sofia will be your only recourse for leveling from the point of entering the hotel. I have no idea why the developers did things this way, and I hope they make it clearer in a future update. By the way, Sofia is the blue-haired lady in the lobby, aka clearly the blue fairy.
