How to Change Weapons Monster Hunter Now
Can’t figure out how to change weapons in Monster Hunter Now? Well, don’t you worry, we’ve got you covered. In this guide, we are going to explain how you unlock new weapon types, new weapons of the same type, and how to swap them to your preferred equipment. So, let’s get right into it without any further ado, shall we?
How to Change Weapons in Monster Hunter Now
Before you can change weapons in Monster Hunter Now, you first have to unlock them. There are two ways we can look at this. The first one is through new weapon types. You begin with the meat-and-potatoes sword and shield. Then, after you complete the Chapter 2: Shimmering Swamp quest line, you’ll get access to the Great Sword. As for the other types (Bow, Hammer, Long Sword and Light Bowgun), they seem to unlock either when you hit Hunter Level 15 and/or when you complete the Great Girros Urgent Quest at the end of Chapter 2. Let us know which of the two it is in the comments. Either way, just play the game and you’ll unlock the different weapon types soon enough.
Now, you can also change weapons to the ones you crafted in Monster Hunter Now. You get access to the forge when you get to Hunter Rank 6. Naturally, you’ll only be able to craft new weapons of the types you have unlocked. Either way, in order to actually change your weapon, head into the Weapon menu by pressing the weapon icon in the bottom. In the Weapon tab, you can swap to whatever weapon you want by tapping the one you want to equip. It’ll show a little orange E in the upper left corner of the icon. This is also the menu in which you can craft new weapons that you have recipes for, as long as you have the means.
