How to Get Dipplin in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Teal Mask DLC from Applin

To get Dipplin in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Teal Mask DLC, you need to evolve Applin, and for that, you have to get a Syrupy Apple. To do that, you have to go all the way to the southeastern corner of the map, to the area called Mossfell Confluence. There, you’ll find a small shack (called Syrupy Shack) that sells Syrupy Apples for 500 a pop. So, go ahead and buy however many you need (one is enough to evolve an Applin). Open your Bag and tab over to Other Items. Select the Syrupy Apple, the pick “Use this item.” Then, select Applin and watch the evolution play out. Dipplin is not the most useful of Pokemon; in fact, it’s pretty much useless. But, hey, you have to fill that Pokedex.

And there you have it, that’s how you evolve Applin and get Dipplin in the Teal Mask DLC in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Again, there’s no reason to do it aside from completing the Pokedex, so once you take care of the evolution, you don’t need to pay attention to Applin anymore. Unless you haven’t evolved it into Flapple and Appletun, but that’s a different story. Just keep in mind that you have to put Applin into your party before you can evolve it. And that’s about all there is to it. By the way, Dipplin is just one of several new Pokemon added in the Teal Mask DLC. For a full list of them, check our our Teal Mask All New Pokemon guide.
