How to Play All Star Team Up NBA 2K24 Current Gen

To play All Star Team Up mode in NBA 2K24 on current gen (aka PS4, PC, Xbox One, and I believe the Switch), the first step is to open the game and select Play Now from the main menu. Next, scroll all the way to the right and pick Play with Friends Online. After you confirm all of your match settings on the left, select All-Star Team-Up, and that’s basically all there is to it. You can easily figure it out from there. Obviously, you can’t do anything if you’re alone in the lobby, but that’s a whole different matter. Now, I’m sure you must be wondering how it works on next-gen consoles, right? Well…

Can You Play All Star Team Up on Next Gen?

Nope, you can’t play NBA 2K24 All Star Team Up on next-gen platforms, aka PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. I have no idea why, but I do know that this has been the case ever since NBA 2K22. If you were hoping that the developers saw reason in the meantime – they haven’t. The only way to get into All Star Team Up in 2K24 is on current-gen consoles and PC. Or old-gen consoles at this point, if we’re being completely honest. I truly don’t know what the logic behind this is, especially considering only next-gen consoles offer cross-play. I can think of no other plan other than contacting support en masse and asking for the mode to be added to new-gen. Just be civil and do not, repeat, do not harass the developers on social media.
