How to play Starfield on Xbox One

So, will you be able to play Starfield on the Xbox One? Well, it’s complicated. Namely, as you are probably aware, Starfield is from the very beginning designed as a next-gen game, which is now the current gen of consoles – Xbox Series X/S and PS5. Of course, being an Xbox exclusive, it is no longer available on the PS5. Thus, as you can see, the game is officially not available on the Xbox One. However, even if you can not play Starfield natively on your XBONE, there is an alternative way to play it. You are probably eager to learn how, so let’s jump right to it.

The answer is rather simple, really. All you need is to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This will grant you access to both the Xbox Game Pass library and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Once Starfield launches on September 6th, 2023, you can then access it on your Xbox One via Xbox Cloud Gaming. And that’s it. It’s that simple. Of course, you will need to have fast, high-quality internet in order to play smoothly and without interference, but that’s surely better than not playing it at all. So there you have it, an answer on how to play Starfield on XBONE.
