Best BG3 Fighter Feats
Choosing the best feats for the BG3 Fighter at level 4 in Baldur’s Gate 3 is more difficult than for many other classes. This is because the Fighter is very versatile and is not as easy to pigeonhole as some of the others. There are a lot of directions that you can take a Fighter, so it’s not easy to narrow down the ideal feat. In this guide, we are going to talk about what we believe to be the best choices. Let’s jump into it.
Best Feats for Fighter at Level 4 in Baldur’s Gate 3
One of the best feats for the Fighter at level 4 in BG3 or Baldur’s Gate 3, as is the case with all classes, is the Ability Improvement. You can then invest those two Ability Points into either Strength or a combo of Strength and Constitution. It depends on what build you’re angling for. If that’s not the way you want to go, you can opt for either Great Weapon Master or regular Weapon Master. The former lets you make another weapon melee attack if you score a weapon melee crit or kill a target, and it lets you deal 10 extra damage at the cost of a -5 penalty to Attack, and the latter gives you Proficiency to four weapons of your choice and gives you +1 to either Strength or Dexterity.
There are a lot of other feats you might consider best for the level 4 Fighter in Baldur’s Gate 3 or BG3, though. Tough gives you +2 HP for each level. Alert gives you +5 to Initiative and you can never be Surprised. Sentinel gives you Advantage on Opportunity Attacks, and if you hit an opponent with such an attack, they can’t move for the rest of its turn. Also, when an enemy within melee range attacks an ally, you can attack that enemy as a reaction (as long as the ally doesn’t have the Sentinel feat). Mobile or Athlete can help with your mobility on the battlefield. Dual Wielder lets you fight with two weapons that aren’t light and you get +1 to AC whenever you dual-wield.
