Baldur's Gate 3 Halsin Bugged Not Leaving Goblins Camp
Baldur’s Gate III features a variety of companions to choose from. Though, before you can get most of them in your party, you will first need to complete certain actions beforehand. For example, once you reach the first area of the game, you will often hear the name Halsin being spoken about. This powerful Druid has been taken captive and is being held in the Goblin Camp. Naturally, your are going to get a quest to free him. Of course, this is easier said than done. But, once you do manage to pull it off, Halsin will become a joinable companion. Or, he would be, if this wasn’t bugged. If you are one of the players that have experienced Halsin being bugged and not leaving the Goblins Camp in Baldur’s Gate 3, we are going to see why this is, and if there’s anything you can do to fix it.
BG3 Halsin Not Leaving Goblin Camp
This problem arises once you have dealt with all of the leaders of the camp and freed Halsin from the warg pen. He will tell you to meet him back in the Druid’s Grove. But when you get there, he is nowhere to be found. In fact, he is still back at the warg pen, repeating the same lines about wanting to kill all the goblin leaders. So, is there anything that can be done about this bug?
Unfortunately, as of right now, there doesn’t appear to be any solution to this problem. Though, as the game has only been out for a short while, this will most likely get fixed by the developers soon. We can only hope that a hotfix is underway. Until it’s fixed, there’s nothing we can do except be patient. In case you have heard about or figured out a fix for this Halsin not Leaving Goblins Camp bug, we ask that you please share it with us in the comments.
I ran into this bug as well. Luckily, I had a save after I killed the leadership and right before the worg pen fight, so I reloaded from there. When I spoke to Halsin after the reload, I did not ask for his help, but he offered it anyway. After the conversation he disappeared and I was able to complete the quest.
If Halsin does not disappear after you talk to him the first time the quest is bugged and you may have to try different dialogue options.
What fixed it for me was walking back into the drow’s area and noticed she was up after I previously killed/knocked her out. I started a fight with her, again, killed/knocked her out again, took the parasite worm from her and it triggered the end scene with the druid, who said he would meet me back at camp.
Id love a fix for this, i talked to him after i beat the leaders, and hes stuck in the camp, but i played for 2.5hrs after i beat the leaders because i was doin other stuff and only just realized hes bugged… i really dont wanna have to start at a previous file and lose 2.5 hours of work…
Any news on that topic? I progressed to far from the bug to just load an older save. Halsin is still at the goblin camp, yet I already celebrated the party with the Tieflings.
Im at the same place as you, now he is just telling me to rest and we’ll leave on the next day
I’ve found a way to fix this, though it requires a save before dealing with all three of the leaders. My issue was when he was a controllable character, so before the final fight I asked him to wait and came back to tell him when all the leaders were dead. After that he set off back to the grove as he is supposed to. If you ask him to wait nearby he’ll still participate in fights as well.
Hey this worked for me, thank you so much!
I had same problem. For me fix was throwing this litlle ball floting near drow to the abyss. After it died quest progressed.
