How to Revive Dead Characters in Baldur’s Gate 3

There are several ways that you can revive dead characters in Baldur’s Gate 3. Not counting reloading a save, of course. I mean, that’s always an option, but I would highly discourage you from going that route. That’s not the intended experience; death is sometimes an integral part of D&D. Anyways, the first way to revive a dead party member is to Withers, the necromancer that you can find at the end of the Dank Crypt dungeon. Have a chat with him, and he’ll become a permanent fixture at your camp. He’ll gladly bring characters back to life, so long as you have two hundred gold per revive. That’s a lot of money, but hey, it is a valuable service he’s providing.

Another method to revive dead characters in Baldur’s Gate 3 is to cast the Revivify spell. It’s a Level 3 spell from the Necromancy school, which means that you need to plug away quite a while before your cleric or paladin can cast it. Regardless, if you have any character that can learn Revivify, go for it. You’ll make your life significantly easier. Last, but not least, the Scroll of Revivify. This is probably going to be one of your main methods of returning party members to life. You can find them in some shops, but they’re prohibitively expensive. Plus, they revive a character, but the come back with a single, solitary hit point. Another bit of evidence that, more often than not, you just have to accept a death and move on.
