Modern Warfare 2 UAV Killstreak Behaves Like Advanced UAV in Season 4 Reloaded

The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Season 4 Reloaded update has just landed. And while it comes with a fun crossover with The Boys, a new weapon and a new map, it also brings some annoying issues. The most alarming one is the FPS issue in S4 Reloaded. However, players also noticed many other glitches. One particular has to do with the popular killstreak. Namely, a number of players report that the MW2 UAV Killstreak is behaving like the Advanced UAV.

The normal one is a “UAV recon ship that reveals enemy locations on the minimap”. However, when used after the Season 4 Reloaded update, it acts like Advanced UAV, which is “an untargetable orbital UAV that reveals the enemy’s direction on the minimap in real-time.”

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, to the best of our knowledge, there’s currently no solution to bypass this strange glitch. You will simply not be able to use the regular UAV until the bug is patched out. The good news is that Infinity Ward, the game’s developer, is well aware of this issue. They have acknowledged it in their Trello board, and are currently “investigating the issue”.

However, they did not provide an estimation of when we can expect the bug to be fixed. Hence, we will simply need to wait for the patch. Nevertheless, we will make sure to update the article once we have more information. If you know a workaround, share it with us in the comments!
