Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded update is here! It’s quite a mouthful, isn’t it? However, instead of enjoying the new content, many MW2 PC players are having trouble at the start of the mid-season. Namely, players across Reddit, forums, and social networks are reporting significantly lower FPS after the Season 4 Reloaded update.
“So I want to know if people here also have much lower fps after today’s update,” wonders Reddit user XbioT. “I have a 4080, 13700k, played Warzone 2, max settings with 160-170+ before the update, and now I get 80-110 fps.” And he is far from being the only one, as many others are reporting drastic frame drops in MW2 Season 4 Reloaded. If you are one of these players, we have good news and bad news. The bad news is that the issue is widespread, and there’s not much you can do. That’s because the problem is not on your side. Rather, it has to do with the client. Hence, it is something the developers will need to fix. So, what’s the good news? The good news is that the developers have quickly acknowledged the issue and are working on fixing it as we speak.

Unfortunately, they didn’t provide an estimation on when can we expect the issue to be fixed. They will first need to identify the root of the problem. Only then will they be able to work on fixing it. Hopefully, it will be soon. We will make sure to update the article once we have more information on the “MW2 Lower FPS After Season 4 Reloaded Update” issue.
Game is barely playable. And is it just my game or did anybody else’s nvidia reflex low latency setting disappear!?

Released a patch to fix a money glitch, sure. Release a fix to let pc players enjoy this garbage game. Nah.
Man my question is when this will be fixed. Limiting someone’s performance is a form of hacking. Coming from a large cooperation is shocking. I have spent way to much on this game to see it go out like this.
Yet again we see this batch of developers are not up to the task..indefensible!
Just upgraded to a 13900KF / RTX 4090 build. Was averaging about 220 in warzone before the update. Now the game appears to be capped at 30 fps, my inputs are delayed about 300ms, and the fps fluctuate between 20 and 340. Completely unplayable, and it’s pathetic they haven’t fixed it by now.

I’m usually around 140fps and now its locked at 70fps.
Its not just a framerate drop though, the whole game runs like a slideshow.
80B dollars and they can’t get anything right.
why do I play this game anymore.
I only have a 1080ti and it played fine uptill 2 days ago. Now its terrible. I could just play at 60 fps lol bit now its 15 to 25 fps. I feel like im on an old pcfx card from the old days.
Same experience. I was getting 170 FPS using AMD 6900 XT but now am getting 70 to 80 and the game is running terribly. Hope this is fixed soon.

I have same problem In season 1 warzone i got 150 fps in al mazrah now in season 4 espeacialy mid season . i got 60 fps in mw2 multi and 50 fps in battleroyal ! my PC is powerfull but idk why we must play this game with all of this problems (cheaters.boosters.Lag) and packetbrust started in season 4. Im a fan and professional gamer in cod series and this all problems is same for all players fix it activision or u lost so many players. Cuz after season 1 this game is so bad.
I have a new build rtx 4080 i7. This game is now unplayable. From b.s shadow bans for no reason, to retarded patches… someone needs to get fired! I was easily playing a smooth 150fps, now it’s 80fps. In the pre lobby’s the fps is just all over the place but super low in game! Activision sucks!
Damn, after update season 4 reloaded, im getting 30-50 FPS, Normally 90-120fps, there are too many animations and it’s getting ridiculous, the developers fantasize too much,
Same here! Rtx 4070 ti i5 13600k was getting 160/200 fps now its between 60/90 with really bad visuals..stutter ect ect. Unplayable literally

I use 3070 ti before update i get 90-105 but after update i get 40-50 fps that is really terrible
me too i have 3060 ti and cpu is i5 12400 before this update i get high fps likely 120 and more after update is fps droping and low fps and fps is 40 60 this unplayble

Same i have GeForce 980 ti game was working better this morning before the update dropped now the highest it goes is 25 fps like they got to fix this i really would like to play the game.
Did a benchmark after season 4 reloaded update.
Getting lows below 100 and highs over 400.
Cpu and gpu time has always been 2ms for cpu and gpu. Now they bounce from 2 to 9 ms each. I have a 7800x3d and 4090. Low 1% usually around 250 with an average of 320 or higher. Not anywhere close to that now. About to uninstall this game and never look back.
i uninstalled and reinstalled a clean version, the same issue persists.

Had 50% drop in fps since s4 reloaded. Game is really unplayable now until they fix it.
Same issue, had to drop graphics to get 10 fps more with dlss in ultra performance… I usually play all max at 90-120 and now I barely get 70 stable fps
I have just been pulling my HAIR out trying to work out what was going on. Are these people that useless that not only are they unable to get a proper anticheat working they screw up the whole game with a 19GB update…. sorry downgrade patch.

on my gtx 1660 before update i was getting around 65 to 90 on ultra and now i am getting barely 50 fps . what is going on?
i was having fps 155 locked at max settings in 4k.
after the s4 reloaded update, it’s 80fps and 80% GPU bottleneck at the final result of the benchmark test.

Seems to be a larger issue with a larger maps. I only play DMZ. Al Mazrah is almost unplayable, while Ashika and Vondel are more playable since they are smaller maps. Still like 50% FPS drop.
it has something to do with sun shadows. when i play shipment it much more playable.
