Valorant Voice Lines Missing Fix, Ep 7 Agent Audio Not Working
If character voice lines are missing in Valorant Episode 7, you should know that you are not the only person with this unfortunate issue. The new season is here, and while it comes with an abundance of exciting content, it has also brought a couple of quite annoying bugs. Here’s how to fix the Valorant “No Agent Voice Lines” glitch in Episode 7.
Valorant Episode 7 Agent Voice Lines Missing Fix
One of the most prevalent glitches following the Season 7 update has to do with the missing in-game audio. Namely, a number of players report they are having issues with Agent voice-overs not playing in-game after the Season 7 update. This not only breaks immersion and makes the game dull, but it also has a very real effect on gameplay. Specifically, using audio cues in Valorant matches is essential, and Agents always clearly announce when they are going to use an Ultimate with their voicelines. Not having them can be a real disadvantage and basically makes the game unplayable for many gamers.
“Not getting any voice lines in the game since the new patch,” says Reddit user BlockheightUnknown. “Such as ult voice lines, speaker announcing spike being planted, the last man standing, match point, the beginning of the round, agents usually make a snarky comment, nothing.” And he is just one of many with the same issue. Luckily, there is a solution.
While we are waiting for Riot Games to deploy a hotfix for the “Valorant No Voice Lines” issue, here is a temporary fix. As confirmed by several players with this issue, the solution below should solve the no agent voice-over bug in Season 7:
- Start the game and head to the settings.
- Switch the Valorant text language to a different one (from the one you are currently using).
- Play a match, and then close Valorant.
- Head back to settings and switch to English.
- It should fix the missing voicelines bug in Valorant!
Valorant Episode 7 Agent Voice-Overs Not Working Solution
Alternatively, there’s another possible solution proposed by Reddit user xSh*tHappens. Apparently, this seems to be a proven working solution as well, as many other players confirmed that it had fixed the Valorant Episode 7 No Voice Lines issue for them. Here’s what you need to do:
- Find your Valorant installation folder. It should be something like “C:\Riot Games\VALORANT\”.
- Find this folder: “C:\Riot Games\VALORANT\live\Engine\Binaries\ThirdParty\Windows\XAudio2_9\x64”
- Delete the .dll file called “xaudio2_9redist”
- Launch Valorant.
- When the game starts, it will inform you that there’s a new update available.
- Close the game, update it, launch it again, and the issue should be fixed!
Thank you, this works! <3
