AEW Fight Forever Crossplay and Crossplatform
Is there crossplay support in AEW Fight Forever? For the very first time All Elite Wrestling (AEW), the second most popular American professional wrestling promotion, will have its own video game. Developed by Yuke’s and published by THQ Nordic, the game aims to revolutionise the formula of wrestling games. In this guide, we explain all you need to know about AEW Fight Forever cross-platform and cross-progression support.
Is there Crossplay and Crossplatform in AEW Fight Forever
So, is there AEW Fight Forever crossplay between Xbox, PS5, PC and Switch? At the time of writing, this information is not 100% confirmed nor denied by the developers. However, in an interview, Kenny Omega, a Canadian professional wrestler star who performs in All Elite Wrestling, has apparently confirmed that there is going to be crossplay. “We have a lot of match types, game modes,” he said. “There is going to be cross-platform and an online component where you can create your own lobby and things like that and have fun with friends, the ability to defend belts.”
Hence, based on his statement, we are inclined to believe that the game will support cross-platform play. It seems logical as EW Fight Forever is set to be released on all major platforms. Both current and previous-gen. The game is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. However, we are not sure if this means full crossplay support or just between specific platforms. We’re fairly certain that there will be crossplay between Xbox, PlayStation and PC, but does this includes the Switch? This is yet to be confirmed. When it comes to cross-progression, however, we don’t think that the game supports it. That’s because this is a paid game, and things like season pass DLCs will need to be bought separately for each platform. However, this is yet to be confirmed as well. For now, that’s all we know.
