DMZ Redacted Faction Gone, When is Coming Back

What has happened with the DMZ Redacted faction in Warzone 2 Season 4? The new Warzone 2 season is here, and it comes filled to the brim with new content for Call of Duty extraction mode DMZ. However, despite a ton of new content, some things have been removed from the game. Namely, it seems that the Redacted Faction is gone from DMZ in Season 4. Why is it missing, and will it come back? Here’s what we know for now.

DMZ Season 4 Redacted Faction Missing, When is Coming Back

So, what happened to “Redacted” missions in Warzone 2 DMZ? Let’s not beat around the bush here and cut straight to the chase. The Redacted Faction has been removed in Warzone 2 Season 4. This is not a bug or some secret development of the story. In fact, it has been officially confirmed by the developers in the blog post about DMZ in Season 4. “Meanwhile, the REDACTED faction whom we met in Season 03 has unceremoniously disappeared from operations in the DMZ,” reads the official blog post. “No further intel is available on their whereabouts.”

However, why is “Redacted” removed from DMZ? And when is Redacted Faction coming back to DMZ? To be perfectly frank with you, for now – we don’t know. Activision has been rather mysterious about this, with little to no information shared. It might be due to the fact that there’s only space for four factions in the faction menu. Quite possibly, their plan might be to rotate available factions to play with each new season. Furthermore, the availability of these factions might be tied up to some story progression. Hence, they might come back in some of the future seasons if the story develops in that way. For now, however, they have been replaced with a new faction called Phalanx.
