How to Turn On Hold to Sprint in GTA Online

To turn on the “hold to sprint” option in GTA Online, you first have to go into your settings. Next, go into the Controls section and find the Sprint Mode option. Switch it to what you want it to be, and boom, you’re done. Now you can back in the luxury that people playing on PC have been enjoying the whole time. Instead of mashing A on Xbox or X on PlayStation in order to run quickly, you just have to hold the button. I know, it’s the greatest evolution in gaming since jumping, apparently. Console players have had to deal with this nonsense for, what, a decade now? Why it took the devs so long to implement this change is beyond me.

And there you have it, that’s how you turn on “hold to sprint” on consoles in GTA Online. Enjoy not having to grind your thumb into dust to get anywhere quickly on foot. It’s easy to find in the settings; the bigger challenge is even being aware that the developers have added the option. Now, of course, there’s a lot more to the latest San Andreas Mercenaries update. Like, a ton of new content and missions, as I’m sure you’re well aware of.
