How to Get East Gerudo Sky Archipelago Chest in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

One of the old treasure maps will have you reach the East Gerudo Sky Archipelago chest in Zelda TOTK. This is a rather small floating island. However, it has several layers of levels. And the chest we’re talking about is at one of the lower levels. However, since you are here, you already know this. So, how to reach this chest behind the gate? There’s actually a very simple game mechanic. Once you learn it, you will immediately recognize the situations where to use it. What you need is a reflective mirror-like Zonai device to channel sunbeams into the yellow hexagon above the gate.

There are two of these mirror devices in the area just above the surface where the chest is. Use Ascend to reach that level. When you find it, you will need to grab it with your Ultrahand and bring it down carefully. There’s a recess in the ground where you can use your Ultrahand to drop the mirror from the upper level below where the gate with the chest is. Check out our images for more details. However, you will also need to be there at the proper time. This is because you need sunlight to hit the hexagon. It will reach that area near sunset. Somewhere around 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm in-game is ideal. When you catch sunlight with the mirror, direct it to the gem, and the gate will open.
