How to Get Out of the Depths Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
So, you’ve gone underground and now don’t know how to get out of the Depths in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Do you have to keep exploring until you find an exit? Is there even one? Surely the game wouldn’t trick you like that, right? Well, of course not. There’s a simple way to leave the Underground Depths in Zelda TOTK. Here’s what you need to do.
How to Leave Depths in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
There are two ways to get out of the Underground Depths in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, since there’s no “proper” way to leave. By that, I mean there’s no gust of wind to ride to the surface, or stairs to climb, or anything like that. Well, there is one way, but we’ll get to that later. This is the method you’ll be using the majority of the time: open the map and hit up on the d-pad to either the surface level or the sky. Either will do. Find a shrine or any other place that you can teleport to and do exactly that. When in doubt, fast travel. Well, actually, the real solution to many of your problems in TOTK is the Ascend ability, which brings me to our next point.
Yes, the second way to get out of the Underground Depths in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is by ascending through the ground. Problem is, you can’t do this everywhere. You have to find a place in the Depths that can get you high enough (or a pit on the surface that’s low enough) for the ability to reach. That limits the usefulness of Ascend when it comes to leaving the Depths in Tears of the Kingdom, leading you straight back to fast travel. The third way is the only “proper” way to get out, and that’s completing the Fire Temple in Goron City. Doing so takes you back to the surface automatically. This is the only time this happens. So, back to fast travel yet again.
