Zelda TOTK I Am Trapped Under Water Behind Stone Gate of Great Plateau
You’ll read the message I am trapped under the water behind the stone gate on the Great Plateau and you’ll know you have one of those classic Zelda Tears of the Kingdom puzzles on your hands. This happens either when you interact with the goddess statue found inside the Temple of Time on the Great Plateau or when you find the huge bargainer statue under the Great Abandoned Central Mine in the Depths. The water and Great Plateau are solid clues, but how are you supposed to locate the statue, or, for that matter, interact with it if it is under water? This riddle is important, because its solution leads to unlocking the gloom resistance Depths Armor Set. We’ll explain how to complete the Call from the Depths side adventure puzzle and where to find the Zelda ToTK I Am Trapped Under the Water statue behind the great plateau stone gate.
Where to Find Statue Trapped Under the Water Behind the Stone Gate of the Great Plateau Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
To solve the Statue Under the Water riddle, you need to reach the Great Plateau and a stone gate within. But where is the stone gate of the Great Plateau, which will allow you to get the Call From the Depths reward? Well, the Great Plateau is the zone where the previous Zelda game took place. It is located south of the Hyrule Field. Surrounded by very tall stone walls, it definitely stands out. Once you climb up, you should be able to find a lake on the northeast side of the plateau. It’s in a sort of a gulch there. You are looking for a body of water that is directly south of Lake Kolomo, northeast from the Forest of Spirits, and west of the Forest of Time. We have marked the exact spot where you need to go in our screenshot below.
Go to the location we have marked on our screenshot which you can see below. There, you are going to see a rock barrier that is acting as a dam preventing the water to flow to the other side. What you need to do is to break this barrier with a rock hammer (basically – any weapon that is fused with a rock). Once you have done this, the water is going to drain and you will be able to go through this no-longer obstructed hole.
The statue trapped under the water behind stone gate of the Great Plateau is located at -0585 -1541 0028 in-game coordinates. You’re going to see a strange rock with four eyes. Interacting with it starts a conversation that then sends you to Temple of Time Ruins. It is located on the Great Plateau further to the south. The statue is actually being controlled by a bargainer statue in the depths and this starts the Call from the Depths side adventure.
How to Start a Call from the Depths in Zelda ToTK?
Now, in case you have not received this message but wanto to begin this quest, then there are two ways you can do this. The first method involves paying a visit to the Temple of Time Ruins on the Great Plateau. Once you get there, speak to the Goddess Statue inside. She will send you to look for the underwater statue. Go drain the water at the stone gate and return to the goddess statue to continue the quest. You’ll have to throw four stone eyes into nearby chasms next. Once all four of them are dropped, you then need to carry them to the bargainer statue. It is located underneath the Great Abandoned Central Mine in the Depths.
Another possibility is that you discovered the Great Abandoned Central Mine in the Depths while trying to unlock the Autobuild ability. As you explore the abandoned mine you can discover a huge bargainer vendor at 0779 -1902 -0565. He’ll say the “trapped under the water behind the stone gate on the Great Plateau” and send you on your adventure.
Either way leads you back to the surface and getting the Call from the Depths side adventure. In the end you will unlock the bargainer as a vendor and you can now buy the Depths Armor and other goodies for poes. As such, this puzzle is definitely worth solving.
