How to Enter Gerudo Shelter Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
If you don’t know how to enter the Gerudo Shelter in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, don’t worry. We know! Your main quest in Zelda TOTK will eventually have you looking for Riju in Gerudo Town. Read on as we explain where is the entrance to the Gerudo Basement in Zelda TOTK.
How to Get Inside the Gerudo Shelter in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
BOTW players will remember Gerudo Town — a settlement in the middle of the Gerudo Desert where men are forbidden to enter. In Zelda TOTK, Gerudo Town is abandoned due to a mysterious sand shroud and a swarm of monsters called Gibdos. Now all the residents of the town have retreated to the Gerudo Shelter. The guard at the entrance will not let Link pass, as he is a voe (man). Hence, we will need to find a way to get into the Gerudo Shelter alternatively. So how to enter the Gerudo Shelter in Zelda TOTK?
Make sure to explore Gerudo Town and the Palace thoroughly. You will find a secret shop with the Heat Resistance Armor. On the roof of one of the houses inside the town, you will notice a traveller named Bozai. If you talk with them, they will mention “voices coming up from the wells”. And that’s our clue! Make sure to also read Riju’s diary in the bedroom atop the palace! The diary will also mention “a good source of water”. Hence, you will need to find this well and jump into it in order to reach the Gerudo Shelter.
The well can be found to the right of the palace, at the very corner of Gerudo Town. Check out our images below for the exact location. When you find it, jump inside. Once inside, simply follow the tunnel until you reach the end. There should be a vase on a rope, which is used to bring the water into the shelter. At this location, you should use your Ascend ability. And it will bring you right inside the Gerudo Shelter!
The easier way in, starts with Riju’s diary, where she explains how the Gerudo took underground, and how,
“…as a precaution, we should cover the hole behind the throne.”.
When you drop down, the usual yelling happens, but then Buliara comes to vouch for you.
